Embossing with a heat gun.
Embossing your cards will add a touch of class. The steps are easy and produce striking results.
Step 1
Shake your embossing powder over the stamped image as you would glitter.

Remove excess embossing powder as you would excess glitter, by pouring back into the container.
Embossing powders come in a wide range of colors and textures. Let your project be the guide to your choice.
Step 2
Turn on your embossing heat tool and hold it several inches from the embossing powdered image. Gently move the heat tool back and forth until the powder melts.

Be careful not to over heat the powder. It can melt too much and become flat.

In the end:
Basic embossing is just the start of the world of embossing. Ask your local RS store if they have advanced embossing classes or books which you can buy.

Pigment Inks
All pigment inks are not equal. Most will need to be embossed to dry. Some will dry without embossing powder, but you will have to heat-set those with your embossing heat tool. There are some on the market which will dry on matte paper without embossing and without heat-setting.

Your local stamp store can guide you in your purchase needs.
